Open Membership
Anyone can be a part of the open community. Simply join the forums, Steam Group, Xfire Group, and our servers whenever you want! Anyone is welcome to come and drop by, anytime. you can join clubs, attend events, and join Ventrilo as an Open member!

• No tags
• No commitments or affiliation
• Ventrilo access (anyone can use it!)
• Access to most events and clubs

Open membership is ideal for people who have are involved in other clans or communities, or have other commitments that keep them from being fully involved.

General Membership
Be part of FPS Gaming Community! Official members get access to the private forums and are able to ask admins to open up slots on servers for them. Be the backbone of the next era of gaming community!

• Wear the FPS| tag
• Attend events and help promote the FPS Gaming Community in a positive manner
• Can attend all our events
• Have access to try out for most of our competitive teams
• Access to join all clubs, and you can even start up your own club!
• If a server is full, members can get slots opened up for them (just ask an admin on Ventrilo!)

General membership is ideal for people who are looking for a new place to call their "e-home"

Competitive Membership
Our teams select their own members from within or they recruit externally. There is no easy way to get on a team, except by asking the team leader for a try out. Being an FPS| Member certainly does help your odds!

Staff Membership
Join our team of dedicate staff! Staff get even more access to our private forums and Ventrilo. They act as our moderators and keep things in line. In addition, you will have access to Reserved Slots on our servers – so play whenever you want!

Staff membership is ideal for people who are looking for a place to contribute, even if they work for another gaming site, and want to help better inform and educate the gaming audience!

Board / Admin / Founder Access
These positions consist of the most dedicated, deserving people who are within the community. These members form the highest tier of the FPS Gaming Community.


FAQ

Can I join if I am part of another clan or community?
Yes you can! As an Open Member, you can fully participate in our community without having to wear our tags or affiliate yourself with our website. It's that easy! This is a great opportunity for people in other clans or communities to be involved. Ask your teammates to join!

However, if you have a General membership, you must wear our tags anytime you come into our server. We ask that you promote and give good feedback on FPS Gaming Community, however, even when you’re not wearing the tag (outside the server).

Even if you are outside the server, it is still recommended that you wear our tags on Xfire, IRC, in other games, etc. We really appreciate it!

If I am staff, do I have to wear the tags?
No! In special circumstances, we allow staff who contribute regularly a free pass on this requirement.

Sometimes you are a part of another clan or organization that would frown upon wearing our tags, and that is understandable. We will allow you to bypass this, but still have the access and Reserved Slot that any other staff member does!

Are there any age requirements?
Yes, there is an age requirement of 18.

However, young adults who are mature and dedicated gamers can get around this by being active on our servers and forums, and then getting an existing member to “sponsor” them into the community. Please realize we a mature community, and child-like behavior is not tolerated – no matter your age.

How to join

1. Open Membership aka "Public Member"

• Join our Xfire group
• Join our Steam group
• Follow us on Facebook
• Join our Servers (listing coming soon)
• Join our Voice Chat
• Attend our Events
• Post an Introduction
• That's all! There's no special access needed - anyone can be an open member if they want to be!

2. General Membership aka "FPS Member" or "Community Member"

• Requirements:
  - Somewhat active in gaming (gets on at least once a week regularly)
  - At least 18 (unless you are extraordinarily mature and have a sponsor)
  - Always wear the FPS| tag while in any FPS Gaming Community server or event. No smurfing on our servers!
• Suggestions:
  - Always wears the FPS| tag on xfire, steam, irc, and in-game.
  - Have attended at least one FPS event
  - Have already completed the above Open Membership suggestions (have signed up on Xfire, Stream, come to Ventrilo and events, and used the forums!)

If you feel you apply, the only thing you need to do is make an introduction thread (put your name in the thread title). Please include the following information:

• Name
• Alias
• Age
• Location
• Games you play (and how regularly)
• Brief history

Please be clear you want to join us with General Membership. Posting an introduction is a requirement! We add new members roughly once a week.

3. Competitive Membership aka "Clan Member" or "Pro Gamer"

Just fill out the requirements for General Membership, join the FPS community, and then approach the clan leader you wish to try out for. Just ask anyone for a helping hand! We'd love to get you competing with us.

4. Staff Membership

It's generally a good idea to do the same steps as General Membership, but if you wish to directly come aboard as staff, simply contact Mattc0m or Josh.
