Deus Ex: Human Revolution HD TRAILER

Check out this amazing cinematic trailer from the new, upcoming Deus Ex. Titled “Human Revolution,” this marks the third game in the series, and the first game on next generation consoles. That being said, as a long time Deus Ex fan, I must say this game deserves to be played on the PC.

So what is Deus Ex? It was the first FPS/RPG hybrid, and it continues along this tradition of combing various combat, stealth, and tech upgrades with FPS combat and open-world, sandbox environments. The theme of biological innovations and shady corporations mixed with a deep storyline and interesting, complex characters seems to be in place.

The second iteration, Invisible War, was a good attempt at a sequel to Deus Ex. However, fans were incredibly critical of it and it never gained mainstream success. However, my hopes are raised once again that Deus Ex: Human Revolution can be everything and more fans will except from a Deus Ex title. From what I can tell in the trailer, they’re gearing to appeal to the hardcore crowd. At least I hope so!

Mass Effect 2 Cinematic Trailer

Wow. Just… wow. The cinematics of this game blow away the first Mass Effect, which had some pretty damn cinematic moments.

So what to expect in Mass Effect 2? Hopefully the trailer will give you an idea about the storyline, but here’s some additional information:

Prepare for a suicide mission to save humanity
Choose between 19 different weapons
Devastating heavy weapons (that) can end a battle in seconds
Recruit a team of the galaxy’s most dangerous operatives
Explore the galaxy – scan planets to uncover unique secret missions
Train and equip your team to survive insurmountable odds
Control your conversation with physical moments of intense action

Mass Effect 2 is an upcoming action role-playing video game under development by BioWare Edmonton with assistance from BioWare Montreal, and set to be published by Electronic Arts. The game is the sequel to Mass Effect, and will be released on Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in North America on January 26, 2010, and in Europe on January 29, 2010.

Borderlands

A blend of genres which promises to be rather enjoyable, Borderlands combines the first person shooter and RPG more fully than I’ve seen in any other game.

With slightly cartoony graphics and plenty of humor (dark and otherwise), it seems to have a quality of fun which will be a welcome relief from the overly-serious-artificially-epic style of other recent titles.

Oh, and it has lots of big guns and explosions, which is good.

Diablo 3: Monk Trailer

Diablo 3, the upcoming RPG from Blizzard Entertainment, is looking to be really sharp. Get out this trailer for the Monk character class. Needless to say, he looks pretty bad ass. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game.
